RED's Scarlet is the Game changer -

The Scarlet is affordable & modular , getting plenty of press, both praise and criticism. I'm reading some of the opinions on whether the Scarlet is Good or Bad, written by some folks that are regurgitating what they read. I'll give an estimate ... 80% (a percentage pulled from my hat) of these reviews are by knuckleheads. Knuckleheads? That's right. Knuckleheads pretending to know what they are talking about. Had they worked on a set, shot an industrial or commercial, I might be less harsh. The Scarlet is a logical improvement in design & use of technology.
